What we do
Biweekly we offer learners the opportunity to order a hot lunch. We strive to offer the learners of Meadowbrook a fun and cultural cuisine experience that meet the nutritional guidelines laid out by the Ministry of Education and Health. We try to accommodate the serious medical conditions and various dietary restrictions of some students and staff. The meals are prepared in a food safe kitchen and organized by volunteer parents within the Meadowbrook community.
Check our Calendar to find the exact date and theme of our next Hot Lunch Day.
How we do it
Once a month, we distribute and collect order forms and organize the deliver of hot meals to the classrooms.
What you can do
You can do a couple things to support Meadowbrook Hot Lunches:
- Order a Hot Lunch for your learner. Please see the Online Order Page for instructions on how to sign up for the Munch a Lunch ordering system.
- We need 3 to 4 parent volunteers to organize and deliver the hot lunches to each classroom. Organizing starts 1 hour before and delivery starts 15 minutes before the lunch hour. If you are interested in volunteering please email email@example.com
Who to contact
If you are available to help with hot lunch distribution please contact Christine Viray-Luk, Hot Lunch Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org
